1. Regularly inspect gas pipelines and interfaces
Regular inspection of gas pipelines and interfaces for cracks or looseness is crucial. If any problems are found, the relevant components should be replaced or repaired immediately.
2. Use soapy water to detect air leaks
Apply soapy water to areas where air leaks may occur, such as pipe joints, gauges, stove switches, etc. If there is an air leak, the area will continue to bubble. This is a simple and effective detection method. Do not use open flames for leak detection.
3. Replace the aging rubber hose
According to relevant gas safety management regulations and technical specifications, the rubber hose should be replaced every two years. Due to the varying quality of rubber hoses from different brands, it is recommended to replace the hose once a year for the safety of users. The usage time of the rubber hose shall not exceed 18 months.
4. Install the hose correctly
When connecting hoses, a dedicated air nozzle joint should be used and then secured with a throat code. The length of the hose should be less than 2 meters, and there should be no bending, stretching, stepping, or other phenomena. Cracked and aged hoses shall not be used.
5. Install gas alarm
Installing a gas leak alarm can promptly detect abnormal gas leaks and remind people to take action.
6. Use qualified gas equipment
Select and use gas equipment that meets national standards, ensuring that it has automatic shutdown protection function, which can automatically cut off the gas source in case of accidental shutdown to prevent gas leakage.
7. Maintain good ventilation
Maintain kitchen ventilation, use range hoods and ventilation equipment to help eliminate toxic gases and avoid gas accumulation.
Through the above measures, it is possible to effectively prevent gas joint leakage and ensure household safety.
